Hey, I’m Emma

Pinnefant is a pseudonym I adopted, initially when I joined the online-sphere to talk about books. Then I adapted it for my creative work. Hence the addition of 'studios’.

I'm a creative designer who focuses on illustration, creative strategy and narrative storytelling.

I do all of this based from my home studio in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

I’m inspired by the world around me but I love layering in moments of whimsy and elements of the fantastical throughout my work. Using what we can’t see physically see in nature to exaggerate and express feelings. Some may say I’m trying to hold onto child-like wonder.

My dream has always been to work on varied projects (Children’s books, gift wrap, covers, cards to diaries and maps!) and I bring a varied experience (a MDes in Product Design and plenty of commercial knowledge from my years in retail) with me, to every exciting project!
